Without a Saw Buddy, you are basically setting your saw conveyor at
a constant feed rate where you can cut acceptable boards with an
optimum speed through hard areas. Thus, you are limited to higher
speeds through softer areas.

Usually, less than 5% of the wood is hard areas that are limiting a
faster feed rate speed.


1. You set the high speed rate (this is the feed rate through the soft
areas) as high as your saw and the wood you are cutting will allow
and still produce acceptable boards.

2.  You set the slow speed (this is how slow you choose to cut
through the hard areas).



The Saw Buddy reacts instantly on hydraulically driven conveyors,
and in a fraction of a second
on electrically driven conveyors.


This instant reaction time enables you to program the Saw Buddy to
perform exactly as you want it  through a variety of woods and
cutting specifications.
